Huddersfield has a large retail shopping area. There are three adjacent shopping centres, Kingsgate, the Packhorse Precinct and the Piazza. The Piazza is an outdoor shopping mall situated close to the Public library, with a partially grassed area, used for relaxation and various events held throughout the year such as entertainment, International Markets and iceskating in winter.An open market is located next to the Tesco store, on the opposite side of the town centre.
